Lanora Alice Bonasio
Born in La Jolla, California, USA in 1957, this artist has lived in Brazil since 1981. Formal instruction in art and related subjects was begun at Edison State CC in Piqua Ohio, and continued at PARSONS SCHOOL OF DESIGN and the NEW SCHOOL FOR SOCIAL RESEARCH in New York, Over the span of 25 years as a working artist her paintings and drawings have participated in exhibitions and contests, mainly in (São Paulo), Brazil. Such as MASP, Centro Cultural Vergueiro, Núcleo de Belas Artes Aclimação, Caixa Econômica Federal, and the studios of (Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão). “Watercolor has always been a favorite medium, but I have enjoyed experimenting with all available materials throughout my career, and usually an idea for a new painting is accompanied by a feeling for the best medium in which to create it. Acrylic paints are often employed for my larger works on canvas or wood panels, and many of these include texture created through the use of acrylic gesso. Natural materials are also employed, when serendipity allows. Ateliê located in Campo Limpo Paulista, São Paulo, Brasil. | ||
